Training that supports physiologic care

Through ongoing coursework in lactation, bodywork, movement, and birth physiology, my approach centers on creating space, supporting nervous system regulation, and working with your body rather than against it. This commitment to continued learning allows me to offer care that is thoughtful, intentional, and responsive to Mom + Baby and honoring their wisdom.

Professional Trainings

International Board Certified Lactation Consultant

I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), the highest credential in the field of lactation care. My training and clinical experience allow me to provide skilled, evidence-based support for breastfeeding and infant feeding concerns—from prenatal preparation and latch difficulties to milk supply, pumping, oral function, and more complex feeding challenges. My approach goes beyond simply looking at the latch. I consider the whole picture-feeding mechanics, oral function, body tension and movement, maternal factors, and the unique needs of each Mom + Baby to help uncover the why behind feeding difficulties and create an individualized plan for moving forward.

Birth Doula Certification

I obtained my doula certification through Madriella in February 2018. This training provided a strong foundation in continuous labor support, physiologic birth, comfort measures, advocacy, and emotional presence. It shaped the way I support families — emphasizing informed choice, calm reassurance, and honoring the body’s natural ability to birth when supported with intention and trust.

Cranial Sacral Therapy and Fascial Unwinding

From May–October 2025, I completed advanced training in Cranial Sacral Therapy and fascial unwinding through Dynamic Body Balancing. This work focuses on gentle, hands-on techniques that support nervous system regulation, releasing tension patterns, and restoring balance. I incorporate this training into my work with both Moms + Babies to address feeding challenges, body tension, and overall function.

Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner

I was approved as a Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner in December 2025. This training emphasizes the importance of balance, movement, and physiology in pregnancy and labor. As an Aware Practitioner, I integrate principles of optimal fetal positioning and body balance into my education and bodywork supporting the body’s ability to create space and allowing birth to unfold more efficiently and intuitively.

What is "holistic lactation"?

Holistic lactation care supports feeding by addressing the whole picture — not just latch or supply. It considers birth, body tension, oral function, nervous system regulation, and the unique needs of both Mom + Baby to support comfortable, sustainable feeding.
